Fit Your Path To Registry

Registration with Two Registered Parents

 

Steps:

1. Collect Documentation:

  • Obtain registration papers for both parents from ADCR or other recognized registries.
  • Ensure that both parents are listed with the correct lineage and identification numbers.

2. Fill Out the Registration Form:

  • Complete the ADCR registration form with details of the foal, including birth date, color, and markings.
  • Include the registration numbers and names of both parents and signature from the owners at the time of breeding 
  • Provide via email, 5 registration photos. Face, Left, Right, Rear, Front.

3. Submit DNA Samples (if required):

  • If requested by ADCR, submit DNA samples for the foal to verify parentage.
  • Follow ADCR's specific guidelines for collecting and submitting DNA samples.

4. Pay the Registration Fee:

  • Pay the applicable registration fee according to the ADCR fee schedule.

5. Submit the Application:

  • Send the completed registration form, any required DNA verification, and payment to the ADCR. Application can be submitted via mail or email 

6. Receive Registration Certificate:

  • Once the application is processed and approved, receive the registration certificate for the foal.

Registration with One Registered Draft Parent and One Grade Parent

Steps 

1. Collect Documentation:

  • Obtain registration papers for the registered draft parent.
  • Gather any available information about the grade parent, even if unregistered.

2. Fill Out the Registration Form:

  • Complete the ADCR registration form with details of the foal, including birth date, color, and markings.
  • Include the registration number and name of the registered draft parent, and provide information about the grade parent.
  • Provide via email, 5 registration photos. Face, Left, Right, Rear, Front.

3. Submit DNA Samples (if required):

  • If requested by ADCR, submit a DNA sample for the registered draft parent to confirm lineage.
  • Optionally, submit DNA for the foal to verify parentage.

4.Pay the Registration Fee:

  • Pay the applicable registration fee according to the ADCR fee schedule.

5. Submit the Application:

  • Send the completed registration form, any required DNA verification, and payment to the ADCR. Application can be emailed or mailed 

6. Receive Registration Certificate:

  • Once the application is processed and approved, receive the registration certificate for the foal.

Registration with No Known Parentage or Two Grade Parents

 

1. Fill Out the Registration Form:

  • Complete the ADCR registration form with details of the foal, including birth date, color, and markings.
  • Provide as much information as possible about the foal’s lineage, even if the parents are unregistered or unknown.
  • Provide via email, 5 registration photos. Face, Left, Right, Rear, Front.

2. Obtain and Submit Texas A&M Breed Heritage Results:

  • Have the foal tested by Texas A&M University for breed heritage.
  • Submit the breed heritage results showing that the foal is of draft descent to ADCR.

3. Obtain and Submit a Veterinary Letter:

  • Arrange for a veterinarian to examine the foal and provide a letter confirming the age of the horse.
  • Submit this letter along with the registration application to ADCR.

4. Pay the Registration Fee:

  • Pay the applicable registration fee according to the ADCR fee schedule.

5. Submit the Application:

  • Send the completed registration form, breed heritage results, veterinary letter, any required DNA verification, and payment to the ADCR via mail or email. 

6. Receive Registration Certificate:

  • Once the application is processed and approved, receive the registration certificate for the foal.
